Arvin Puyan, MA, MSW, MACP, is a therapist registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT), and EMDRIA. With over a decade of experience in the helping profession, I am committed to creating a compassionate and collaborative space where healing and growth can take place.

I provide personalized, trauma-informed therapy for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, complex trauma, grief, relationship challenges, LGBTQ2+ concerns, and work-related stress. I also have extensive experience supporting refugees and newcomers, helping them overcome past traumas and navigate the emotional impact of displacement, identity transitions, and acculturation stress as they build a sense of safety and belonging in their new environment.

My approach integrates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also hold specialized certifications in ADHD treatment, EMDR training, and clinical supervision.

Fluent in Kurdish, Persian, and English, I bring a deep respect for cultural diversity and strive to honor each client’s unique background and story. Together, we can work toward resilience, clarity, and lasting emotional well-being.
